Implant Crowns/Dental Implants

What are Dental Implants?

Tooth loss can negatively affect your overall oral health. When teeth remain missing for a period of time, changes in the bone and surrounding teeth can cause further destruction of the oral cavity. Dental implants are the gold standard for tooth replacement.

About Dental Implants

Dental implants mimic a natural tooth by being integrated into the bone and held in place by your natural tissues. A dental implant looks like a cylinder or screw and it serves as an artificial replacement for the root of a missing tooth. For this reason, implants can be used to replace a single tooth or restore an entire arch, returning your smile to its original beauty and health.

Who is a good candidate for Dental Implants?

In order for implants to heal successfully, you need enough healthy, solid bone structure in the area they’ll be placed. If you have bone loss, we’ll recommend a bone grafting prior to having the implant placed. It is just as important that you are healthy enough to undergo oral surgery and have the ability to heal from the procedure after it’s done. Most patients who want or need implants can easily and safely have the procedure done.

Our Process

After a thorough and comprehensive exam, Dr. Azy will discuss your options for tooth replacement with you. Once it is determined that dental implant treatment is right for you, we will refer you to a local oral surgeon for extraction and implant placement. Following the placement of your implant, you will return to Dr. Azy to have your 100% custom crown restoration fabricated and placed.

We utilize digital technology to ensure that your implant will integrate beautifully into your natural smile.
