It is never too soon or too late to consider removing problematic wisdom teeth.
Why would someone need Wisdom Tooth Removal?
Wisdom teeth can cause an array of different problems over time. These issues may include things like damage to surrounding dentition, infections and swelling. In order to prevent these painful problems, we recommend having the third molars taken out as soon as possible. Surgery can be done on teens and adults alike in our comfortable, safe office.
What makes someone a candidate for Wisdom Tooth Removal?
The procedure is ideal for anyone who has problem wisdom teeth. Oftentimes, these teeth become stuck underneath the gums, which can cause them to become quite painful if left intact. Dr. Azy will examine all of your teeth and take special x-rays. These x-rays will allow us to see the wisdom teeth and how they are currently positioned.
What happens during the Wisdom Tooth Removal process?
First, sedatives are administered to put you into a slight sleep-like state. Dr. Azy at the Boutqiue for Cosmetic Dentistry will then work to remove the wisdom teeth from below the gums. This is done using special instruments and skills necessary to remove the third molars. The gums are then stitched to help them heal fully and you’ll be taken to a recovery room to have time to wake up from sedation. You should have a friend or one of your relatives bring you home from the office. You can expect a little bit of pain and swelling for the first few days following surgery.
